Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah
and Happy Holidays to All
This December marks the beginning of our 41st year in business. I want to thank all of you that have been our loyal customers over the years. We appreciate your business and your referrals. These referrals are our best form of advertising.
In today’s world, social media is making a big impact on the referral network. People can post their experiences for everyone to see. Thankfully for us, most of these postings are very positive.
We updated our Web Page last year with good success. The new model makes it easier for our customers to find us and learn more about our company. We also post articles on the Web Page to inform viewers about what is going on in the electrical contracting world.
Looking forward into 2018, I see more people buying electric cars and wanting power connection for the chargers. For the single family home, this is a fairly easy task and most homes have adequate power for the charger.
We have found condominiums and apartment buildings to be more challenging. These properties typically have large electrical meter rooms where all of the power comes into the building and each unit has a meter and a disconnect for their unit. In most cases, the meter and disconnects are part of a modular system where there is little or no space to connect the power for the charger. In some cases, there is room in the house panel for additional circuits, but in that case, the building will be paying for the unit owners electric. Most car chargers will use 40 to 70 amps of power when charging the vehicle. The building will need to calculate the amount of available power that is available for the chargers, before installing multi chargers.
In conclusion, I want to wish everyone a healthy and happy holiday season.
